Seminar: Robotics Applications in Rehabilitation and Assistive Technologies

Date and Time: 19th March 2020, 13:00

Place: Bit Alliance Lab, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo

Seminar is free, but we would appreciate if you register at bit.ly/CARRT-ETF

Abstract: People with physical disabilities may depend on family members or health caregivers to assist them in their daily needs. Providing technology solutions may assist them to gain some independence to perform their activities of daily living (ADL). This seminar will discuss some of the robotics technology solutions developed at the Center for Assistive, Rehabilitation and Robotics Technologies (CARRT) that can provide assistance and rehabilitation and give the user the ability to perform tasks that are otherwise difficult or impossible to do. Some of these technologies include a wheelchairJ mounted robotic arm (WMRA), remotely teleoperated robots, brainJcontrolled robots, sensory and visionJbased intelligence, and user interfaces.
