Abstract
We are witnessing a shift towards experience economy. Providing products and services with good quality of user experience (UX) is one of the crucial success factors for IT industry. User experience is therefore an emerging research area focusing on understanding and measuring user experience. This talk presents the major concepts related to user experience, as well as UX measures, and UX evaluation methods and tools. Furthermore, the talk presents the results of the UX evaluation studies conducted within two large European research projects.
Bio
Dr. Scient. Amela Karahasanović is a Research Scientist at SINTEF ICT and an Associate Professor in the Department of Informatics at the University of Oslo. She holds a PhD degree in computer science from the University of Oslo and an MSc degree in computer science from the University of Sarajevo. Karahasanovi
has published more than 30 journal, conference papers and book chapters in the areas of HCI and software engineering. In various projects and fellowships (COOL, Gledden, CITIZEN MEDIA) she worked on the understanding of user’s requirements and behaviour, and on evaluating user experience. She was leading the work on user requirements in the EU FP6 project CITIZEN MEDIA. Currently she is leading the SESAR project ZeFMaP and the work on modelling user’s behaviour in the CELTIC project R2D2 Networks.
